Cadillac STS/DTS Replacement Delayed Again
July 31, 2008
It appears as if, once again, the Cadillac STS/DTS (aka DT7) has been pushed back even further - this time, until 2014. Yes, that’s six years from now. GM just cannot afford Cadillac at this time - giving Lincoln the opportunity to move ahead in the luxury automobile market. Read more
Cadillac DT7 May Be Scrapped Altogether
July 16, 2008
Plans for the STS/DTS replacement, the Cadillac DT7, are being reconsidered this month. The Cadillac Provoq Is Almost Ready
July 10, 2008
It appears as if GM’s first hydrogen fuel cell car, the Cadillac Provoq, may be available for purchase sooner than we thought. The Cadillac Provoq fuel cell concept is the latest example of GM’s groundbreaking E-Flex propulsion system, combining the new fifth-generation fuel cell system and a lithium-ion battery to produce an electrically driven vehicle that uses no petroleum and has no emission other than water. The concept’s fifth-generation fuel cell technology is half the size of its predecessor, yet it has been developed to produce more power and performance. Read more
Cadillac BRX = Cadillac CTX = 2010 Cadillac SRX?
June 1, 2008
Reports indicate that the Cadillac SRX, born in 2004, will live on past the 2009 model year. What was original to be named BRX - then CTX - is now, semi-officially, the 2010 Cadillac SRX - which will share it’s platform with the Saab 9-4X (among other GM vehicles). Read more
Latest Cadillac Rumors - 03.13.08
March 12, 2008
Apparently, the DT7 project - which is the replacement for the Cadillac STS and Cadillac DTS - has been delayed (again) an additional six months due to financial constraints - and will not be introduced until the middle of 2011 as a 2012 model year vehicle. It will be sized similar to the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7-Series cars, with an abundance of rear leg room - but will compare more dynamically with the Audi A8. It’ll feature more technology than either the STS or DTS - and will be sportier as well. Cadillac realizes it’ll lose some of the DTS buyers until the Supersedan arrives a year or two later. The Supersedan will be the actual S-Class and 7-Series competitor. Read more
