Cadillac CTS Recognized Again With Second Consecutive EyesOn Design Awards At North American International Auto Show

Cadillac CTC ConceptCadillac was recognized with two EyesOn Design Awards for Design Excellence honors at the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The 2009 CTS-V performance sedan captured the production car award and the concept car category honor went to the dramatic CTS Coupe Concept. It was the second straight year the CTS lineup was recognized by the EyesOn Design judges – the 2008 CTS sedan won the production car category at the ’07 NAIAS. Read more

Cadillac CTS Receives IIHS Top Safety Pick Award

CadillacCadillac’s new 2008 CTS sports sedan, already a hit with critics and luxury consumers, today earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick for 2008.The award results from CTS earning the Institute’s highest ratings in front, side and rear crash testing, as well as standard application of Stabilitrak electronic stability control system, which can help drivers avoid crashes. The CTS is one of only three large luxury cars to earn this designation. Read more

CadillacCadillac extends its ongoing design and technology momentum with tomorrow’s debut of the Provoq Concept, a vision for a petroleum-free future of luxury transportation. GM CEO Rick Wagoner will present the Cadillac Provoq concept vehicle January 8 at the influential Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, beginning a showcase of Cadillac’s future performance technology and design that will continue at next week’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham So Cadillacs aren’t Cadillacs as I know them anymore. I’m a ‘traditional’ Cadillac enthsuiast. I like big cars that ride on glass - like the Lincoln Town Car or the cancelled Cadillac Fleetwood. I like big, soft, non-supportive, cushy seats - last seen on the Fleetwood Brougham in 1996. Apparently, I’m a dying breed. Today’s Cadillacs are small, stiff-riding high performance luxury “sports” cars - like BMWs. I may not be a big fan, but I have to admit - everybody else is. And this formula seems to be working wonders for Cadillac. I don’t share the same enthusiasm everyone has for BMW - but it’s easy to see how “the ultimate driving machine” can spark interest in the modern-day driving enthusiast. Read more

Cadillac Looks to the Future

Cadillac Generally speaking, Cadillac has been wildly successful since its first model was sold in 1903. With the rare exception such as the compact Cimarron, Cadillac has found a consumer base for everyone one of their cars and that trend is likely to continue well into the future. In the past Cadillac has had the ability to hone into what the customer wants and expects and then deliver that and then some. Cadillac consumers should continue to expect powerful, stylish, reliable vehicles in the shape of sedans and even small SUV and crossover SUV styles well into the future. Read more
