Cadillac confirms RWD 4cyl compact sedan
2012 will bring us a new compact Cadillac sedan built on General Motors’ upcoming Alpha architecture. It doesn’t have a name yet - and while Cimarron isn’t likely, BLS is a good possibility. It’ll be powered by a four cylinder engine and it may get direct injection and/or a turbo charger. A V6 is a slight possibility. This will be the new entry-level Cadillac luxury sedan. Read more

Cadillac Escalade Adds FlexFuel Capability For 2009

ATLANTA – All models of the 2009 Cadillac Escalade will be able to run on either ordinary gasoline or E85 ethanol, or any combination of the two, General Motors announced Friday.
And customers will have the fueling choice at no additional cost.
The Escalade, Escalade EXT and Escalade ESV as well as the GMC Denali, join the previously announced 2009 Chevrolet HHR, Buick Lucerne and Hummer H2 and H2 SUT as additions to GM’s industry-leading flex-fuel lineup. Read more

In case you were wondering how serious Cadillac was/is about building a competition luxury sport wagon, you can rest assured that it’s planned to go into production in the Spring of 2009 alongside the coupe and sedan at General Motors’ Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant. Production should be approximately 10,000 to 12,000 units per year, and most of the wagons will head for Europe after they’re built. Read more
