Breaks 8-minute barrier, fastest documented lap time for a production sedan
In testing this morning at Germany’s Nurburgring, Cadillac’s upcoming new 2009 CTS-V completed a lap of the legendary Nordschleife in 7:59.32. This blistering time appears to be the fastest ever publicly documented for a production sedan. Read more

In case you were wondering how serious Cadillac was/is about building a competition luxury sport wagon, you can rest assured that it’s planned to go into production in the Spring of 2009 alongside the coupe and sedan at General Motors’ Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant. Production should be approximately 10,000 to 12,000 units per year, and most of the wagons will head for Europe after they’re built. Read more
