GM’s 4.5-liter Duramax Engine for Caddy Could Deliver Performance and Economy.

Apparently, Cadillac is actively considering fitting its smooth, innovative new 4.5L Duramax V-8 turbodiesel into the engine bay of the Cadillac CTS - which would require the raised hood of the CTS-V. Read more »

DETROIT – The 2009 CTS-V, Cadillac’s 556-hp expression of ultimate performance and luxury, begins production this month with initial sales beginning around November 1. The latest in the brand’s V-Series of high performance models, the new CTS-V is intended to reach the top of the world’s most desirable luxury cars, at a starting price of $59,995 in the US market. In mid December General Motors put on display their latest “High Feature” V6 engine; the 3.0L - which will be replacing the role of the larger 3.6L HF V6, in many applications in the GM lineup. This smaller engine utilizes direct injection. GM has already confirmed that the engine will be in the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, 2010 Cadillac SRX, 2010 Buick LaCrosse, 2010 GMC Terrain and 2010 Cadillac CTS. Read more »
